Interesting Places in Poland

As in every other European capital, Warsaw has many tourist attractions which make it easier to get to know the city better and which are worth taking advantage of, particularly in the summer.

Tourist tramway line
In summer ( July, August) and on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays, a historic tramway runs along a set route (starting and stopping at Narutowicza Square). Tickets can be bought from the conductor for 2 zł. Information, telephone: 843 20 13, 94 84

Tourist bus line
We invite you to use tourist buslines 100 and 180 which routes lead through the most interesting places of Warsaw .The busline 180 runs every day (also in holiday days), more or less run every 15 - 30 minutes. The busline 100 runs on weekends (in July and August daily) every hour from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tickets must be punched in special machines inside buses like in every public bus. You can buy singel ticket, one day ticket, 3-day ticket or weekly city ticket at newsagents, from ticket machines located at stops, or from the driver (subject to an additional fee).

Old Town Street-car
The street-car starts and ends its route at Castle Square. It operates throughout the year between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. During the thirty-minute trip through the streets of the Old and New Towns, a guide tells the story of the most interesting buildings and monuments of this part of Warsaw. October - April: The Garden is open daily from 9 to the evening (it depends on the weather and attendance), ticket office open daily 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. Tickets: regular: 10 zł, reduced: 5 zł

Botanical Garden
Warsaw University Botanical Garden, 4 Ujazdowskie Street (Al. Ujazdowskie 4), tel. 553 05 23, open from April to end of October week day 9 a.m. - 8 p.m., weekend 10 a.m. - 8 p.m., Tickets: regular: 4 zł, reduced: 2 zł
Botanical Garden in Powsin, 2 Prawdziwka Street (ul. Prawdziwka 2), tel. 648 38 56. The Garden is open from 1st April to 31st October, daily 10 a.m. -6 p.m. Tickets: regular 6 zł, reduced 4 zł.
Garden on the roof of Warsaw University's Library, 56/66 Dobra St. (ul. Dobra 56/66), The Garden is open from Aprit till October 9.00 a.m. - 8.00 p.m. and from November till March 9.00 a.m. - 3.00 p.m.. Free entry.

White Fleet (Biała Flota) boat trips on the Vistula River
The boat operates daily from 1st May to the end of September, every ninety minutes. The first trip is at 9.30 a.m. Boats leave from the quay by the Śląsko-Dąbrowski Bridge (near the Royal Castle).
